MTFD Support Services is a vital part of the department. Based on the "Ladies Auxillary" of the past, these dedicated people provide drinks and food to the firefighters at scenes and training, assist with organizing special events like parades and fundraisers. Working car fire next to a residence in Twin Oaks Subdivision. Fire was extinguished with minor damage to structure. Vehicle was a total loss.

While assisting Sellersburg FD at the storage unit fire, Monroe was dispatched to a piece of logging equipment on fire in the Forestry off Mountaim Grove Rd. Dispatchers reported that the fire was approximately two miles back in the woods on a logging road.

Tueaday afternoon, Monroe Firefighters were dispatched along with Sellersburg to a report of storage building on fire along US 31 south of Memphis. While enroute, units reported smoke showing from a distance.

Just before 4AM, Sellersburg FD and Monroe Township FD were dispatched to a house fire on Cronewood Lane in Memphis. 2001 (Chief Mark Furnish) arrived on scene first within 10 minutes and reported a full-involved house fire.

Dispatched late Thursday night to a report of a garage fire in the 1200 block of E County Line Rd. 2001 arrived on scene and reported a 30x40 pole barn fully involved. 2022 arrived and began a defensive attack.

Just before 10pm, Monroe Township FD was dispatched with Sellersburg FD to a house on fire on Commercial St in Memphis. 2001 and 2022 arrived in minutes with a working fire and fire through the roof. The house was reported to be vacant.

At 0105 hours, Scottsburg FD requested assistance from Monroe Township at a structure fire at the historic Scottsburg square. An explosion was reported at the Dentist office, and the face of the building was laying in the street with the first Scottsburg units arrived.

MTFD responded with Sellersburg to a house fire around 6AM this morning. The two-story frame house was well-involved when first units arrived. Efforts were further hampered by freezing rain and snow. Engine 2022 responded with a crew of 5 and assisted Sellersburg until released around 8AM.

Units responded to a single-vehicle MVA on i65. One car left the roadway and went down the embankment. Engine 2022 and 2091 responded, secured the vehicle and checked for hazards and assisted EMS.

Saturday evening MTFD was dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident on 160 W in front of the Shell Station. Dist Chief Maloney (2103) and Capt Taylor arrived on scene and reported a two-vehicle MVA. Engine 2022 responded and assisted with traffic control and debris removal.

Late Friday afternoon, MTFD was dispatched to the 500 block of Hebron Church Rd for a motor vehicle accident. Capt. J Phillips in Brush 2081 was in the area for a detail and arrived on scene within two minutes.

Shortly after noon on Wednesday, Dec 5th, Monroe Township Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire in the 6000 block of Zollman rd. Sellersburg Fire Department was dispatched as automatic aid at the same time.

MTFD was dispatched to the 6000 block of Zollman Rd for a report of woods on fire. Workers at a neighboring home discovered a fire burning in the woods around a residence with no one home. The workers were able to keep the fire from spreading to the house and barn prior to fire department's arrival...

Tuesday afternoon MTFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Engine 2022 arrived to find a Jeep had left the roadway, rolled over and came to rest against a tree, trapping the driver.

MTFD was diapatched automatically with Sellersburg to a report of a structure fire on west Utica St in Sellersburg. Engine 2022 responded with five firefighters to assist Sellersburg at the scene.

Tuesday Sept 4th MTFD was dispatched at 12:59 for a Semi overturned, possibly on fire. After initial dispatch it was reported to be a working fire. Sellersburg FD was dispatched for assistance. Engine 2022 arrived and found a semi-truck off the road, with the cab fully involved.

Around 5PM Saturday, MTFD was dispatched to the 5000 block of Snow Rd for a reported brush fire. First arriving units reported a working fire and requested assistance from Sellersburg.
