MTFD Support Services is a vital part of the department. Based on the "Ladies Auxillary" of the past, these dedicated people provide drinks and food to the firefighters at scenes and training, assist with organizing special events like parades and fundraisers. Today at 1606 hours, Monroe Fire was dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident, with a vehicle on fire. Chief Furnish (2001) arrived on scene within 1 minute and reported a working fire. 2022 responded with 2002 on board and full crew.
District Chief Bill Maloney (2103) reported that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on SR 160 when it was struck in the rear by a pickup truck. The car was carrying two five-gallon containers of aviation fuel. Upon impact, the fuel containers exploded and the driver was barely able to escape. No injuries were reported. Yellow EMS checked patients on scene.

Saturday morning, Dec 31 2016, responders were called to Hwy 31 north of the forestry for a motor vehicle crash. CAR 202 and BC 21 arrived on scene to find a small passenger car had struck the rear of a farm tractor.

On a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon, at 1619 hours, MTVFD was requested to Hickory Grove rd in Washington County by Pierce-Polk Fire Dept for a large woods fire. The fire was in a very hilly area, in thick woods and rugged terrain.

Today at 1747 hours, Monroe Firefighters were dispatched to the intersection US 31 and Beagle Club Rd for a motor vehicle crash with one vehicle rolled-over. Batallion Chief Mark Furnish (BC23) arrived within 6 minutes and reported a two-car MVA, with one vehicle on it's side.

On April 1, 2015 at approximately 2:20 in the afternoon MTVFD was dispatched to a brush fire in the 2500 block of Speith Rd. Within five minutes of the dispatch Chief Jared Phillips (201) arrived on scene to find a large brush fire in a thick wooded area.

Late morning, Friday February 6th MTFD was dispatched to a single-vehicle MVC with a reported cardiac arrest.District Chief Mark Furnish (Batallion 23) arrived on scene within one minute along with Deputy Chief Doug Dunlevy (Car 202).

Approx 430pm, received report of motor vehicle crash with injuries, one vehicle rolled-over. Engine 22, Engine 21, Batt 21 and Batt 23 responded to the scene. Upon arrival found two-car MVA with one vehicle inverted in the ditch.

Late Friday evening. Monroe Township FD was dispatched to a structure fire in the 200 block of Lake rd in Henryville. Chief 201 arrived on scene within 1 minute and reported a working fire in the dryer.

MTFD firefighters ended election day by responding to a motor vehicle crash at US 31 and Hwy 160 in Henryville. One patient was transported by Yellow EMS with minor injuries. Monroe Firefighters assisted EMS in checking the other occupants and cleaning the roadway.

Oct 30 - Approximately 1830 hours, MTFD was dispatched to reported Motor Vehicle Accident on I-65 northbound near exit 19. Chief 201 arrived to find a two-vehicle crash at the 18mm. A small passenger car was struck by a semi, causing the car to spin out of control.

Just after 0200 hours, Sellersburg and Monroe Township were dispatched to a structure fire on Orchard Street in Memphis. The fire was spotted by a county police officer, who then reported it to Central Dispatch.

Around 0245 hours, Monroe Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a structure fire in the 600 block of Dieterlin Road. Within a few minutes, Deputy Chief Dunlevy (2002) arrived to find a detached garage/chicken coop fully-involved.

Just after midnight, at 00:04 hours, MTFD and Sellersburg FD were dispatched to a house fire in the 1200 block of Hansberry Road. MTFD was dispatched via automatic aid for Sellersburg. Deputy Chief Dunlevy (2002) was first on scene at 00:13; he reported a working fire.

Early on Crusade Sunday Morning, Monroe TWP Firefighters were dispatched to the Forestry near the Fire Tower for a car crash, involving a vehicle rolling over and down the embankment. Multiple units responded, searching the area.

In the evening hours of Saturday May 31, emergency crews were dispatched to the area of County Road 160 East @ Castetter Road. A red minivan had left the roadway and slid down the embankment, hidden in the trees.

This morning around 0930, Monroe Firefighters were alerted to a vehicle fire on I-65 near mile 19. Upon arrival, units found a semi-truck on fire on the northbound offramp to exit 19. Engine 2022 and Tanker 2061 responded.

Friday morning, MTFD was alerted to a motor vehicle accident involving a car and a train, at the 160 E/Pennsylvania Street Crossing. 2001, 2103, 2002, 2022 and 2091 responded and found a single-car accident with one patient.
