MTFD Support Services is a vital part of the department. Based on the "Ladies Auxillary" of the past, these dedicated people provide drinks and food to the firefighters at scenes and training, assist with organizing special events like parades and fundraisers. If you are interested in serving your community through the fire department, but not interested in fighting fires, this may be for you. Contact MTFD Headquarters (812-294-1738)
We are busy already for the 2021 season of the WHAS CRUSADE FOR CHILDREN!
Beginning tonight, May 6th, we will be conducting door-to-door collections. Please remember, this is not a solicitation to gain monetary goods or services for our firefighters or for the Monroe Township Fire Department. These are volunteers donating their time to raise as much money as possible for the Crusade for Children. If you are unable or unprepared to give at the door, we understand completely. As always, we appreciate the support and encouragement that we receive from the community.
Tentative collection schedule for the 2021 Crusade:
May 5th: Door-to-Door beginning 6:00 PM
May 12 and 13th: Door-to-Door beginning 6:00 PM
May 14: Roadblock beginning at 5:00 PM
May 15: Roadblock 8:30AM - 12:00 PM
May 18 and 19: Door-to-door beginning 6:00 PM
May 21: Roadblock beginning 5:00 PM
May 22: Roadblock 8:30AM - 12:00PM
May 28: Roadblock beginning at 5:00 PM
May 29: Roadblock 8:30AM - 12:00 PM
June 1 - June 4: Roadblock 5:00 PM - until dark
June 5th: 2021 Crusade for Children Dinner and Auction - beginning at 5pm!
